What is FCPS?

Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS). College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan is a firm responsible for the registration of Postgraduate Doctors of Pakistan. Currently, CPSP is offering FCPS I, II and MCPS.

(part 1)?

• Obstetrics and Gynaecology

• Psychiatry

• Radiotherapy

• Surgery Allied

 Who is Eligible to sit for this exam?

• MBBS registered with the PMDC.

• house job of one year in recognized institute.

Format of FCPS

there are three papers

1. part 1

1. IMM

1. part 2

you have to pass part 1 to gain residency seats/for induction in fcps.

halfway through you have to pass imm called intermediate module and then comes the part 2

pros and cons

pros:

1. less expensive
2. available in home country / city
3. accepted in all of pakistan

cons:

1. not recognized worldwide (you have to give registration papers/liscencing exams)
2. less worth against foreign qualifications even in pakistan.
3. limited seats.
4. low pass percentage.
